Associate of Arts with Transfer Plans in Criminal Justice

Transfer Plans

Brazosport College is proud to offer the 60 credit-hour Associate of Arts  (A.A.) and Associate of Science  (A.S.) degrees that prepare students to transfer to all Texas public colleges’ and universities’ Bachelor’s Degree programs. Both the Associate of Arts and Associate of Science degrees focus on the complete 42 credit hour core curriculum and the opportunity to choose appropriate electives to make transfer to your desired institution simple.

A student who earns an A.A. or A.S. degree from Brazosport College meets the lower division General Education Core  requirements of a Texas state university, but does not automatically meet the requirements for a particular major. Utilize the transfer guides to ensure your course choices keep you on track to transfer. Planning ahead will help save time, save money, and help you quickly reach your educational goals.

Reverse Transfer

The Texas Reverse Transfer Initiative (TRTI) is a program specifically designed to allow students who transfer to a Texas, public, four-year university prior to earning an associate’s degree to be awarded that credential while pursuing the baccalaureate.  Brazosport College (BC) and Texas public colleges and universities have a partnership that allows students to complete their community college degree program by the reverse transfer of University college credits. This means your University credits count for credit toward your Bachelor’s degree and are eligible to transfer back to BC in order to complete your associate’s degree program requirements.
