The pathway below is designed to facilitate transfer to the University of Texas at Austin Cockrell School of Engineering for students planning to complete a Bachelor of Science in any Engineering major. The freshman and sophomore level requirements for each program are the same.

Pathway Notes:

While an Associate of Sciencee degree at Brazosport College requires 60 credit hours, the following pathway includes 65 credit hours, applicable to each of the Cockrell School of Engineering Bachelor’s degree at UT Austin.
The math requirements in this pathway begin with MATH 2413 Calculus I , which is the first mathematics course applicable to this degree. Some students may be required to take a prerequisite course(s) prior to enrollment.
All majors at the Cockrell School of Engineering are required to have two years of a foreign language in high school, or complete two college level courses in the same language. Brazosport College recommends SPAN 1411 Beginning Spanish I and SPAN 1412 Beginning Spanish II for students who did not take a foreign language in high school.

Foundations

Foundations courses provide the footing for the remainder of the Associates Degree and beyond. They provide the knowledge and skills upon which other courses will build. Whether attending full or part time, plan to complete most if not all of Foundations prior to taking courses under Knowledge Building or Preparing for Completion.

These courses provide capstone knowledge and skills, which prepares students for their next steps. Before beginning the third set of courses in this pathway, complete the Application for Graduation at the Admission’s Office. You should also meet with your coach/advisor to begin preparing applications for transfer.
