Principles of gas metal arc welding, setup and use of Gas Metal Arc Welding (GMAW) equipment, and safe use of tools/equipment. Instruction in various joint designs. Students will be able to Describe welding positions with various joint designs; describe the effects of welding parameters in GMAW; apply safety rules; troubleshoot equipment used, perform visual inspection; weld various types of structural material; diagnose welding problems. Credit Hours: 4 (2 lecture, 8 lab)
