Introduction to science of pharmacology with emphasis on actions, interactions, adverse effects, and nursing implications in drug classes. Topics include nursing roles and responsibilities of safe medication administration within legal/ethical framework. Credit Hours: 3 (2 lecture, 4 lab)
Prerequisite: All courses in the ADN program must be taken in a prescribed sequence. See the program description in Associate Degree Nursing (A.D.N.) of this catalog.
Required skill level: College-level reading and writing.
