Recommended Course Sequence - AAS in Early Childhood Development and Education

This recommended course sequence for the Associate of Applied Science in Early Childhood Development & Education can be completed full-time in two years or less. The program prepares students for careers as child care teachers or public school paraprofessionals, combining classroom instruction with hands-on training.

Students learn how to support children’s growth by fostering interests, developing talents, encouraging independence, and building social skills. The program also equips graduates to assist teachers working with older children through interactive discussions, hands-on activities, and developmentally appropriate materials.

Following the recommended sequence allows students to complete all requirements efficiently and enter the workforce prepared to nurture and guide young learners.
