Recommended Course Sequence - Basic and Advanced Certificates in Chemical Technology

Process technicians operate production plants, troubleshoot problems and conduct lab analysis-ensuring the plant is running efficiently and safe. They work with instrumentation to monitor flow, level, pressure, temperature and chemical composition.
 
Brazosport College offers very practical, real-world training using training units similar to the type of unit operations found in local area chemical plants.  Basic Certificate courses are included in the first two semesters.  The Advanced Certificate in Chemical Technology, completed in the last two semesters, is a level two certificate (CERT2), defined as any certificate for which a student must meet certain eligibility requirements prior to entry into the program.  Students enrolling in CERT2 programs are subject to the TSI requirements (college readiness).
