Specialization in Training and Development

The Training & Development specialization prepares students to be leaders and pacesetters in the design and development of high-quality learning and training programs for business; government; local, national, and international non-profit organizations; and colleges and universities. Students will learn to direct and manage learning experience design projects, work strategically with talent management professionals, and utilize learning analytics to create transformative learning experiences.
The specialization appeals to the following potential students who:
- Wish to combine the study of organizations and learning in their academic studies.
- Currently work in a technical role, such as a lab tech or nurse in health care, and who want to become more involved in training others.
- Are earning their associate degree who are asked to develop and deliver training for others.
- Wish to work in the business and industry outreach departments of community colleges.
