The pathway below is designed to facilitate transfer to the University of Texas at Austin McCombs School of Business for students planning to complete a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Business Administration, Finance, Management, or Marketing. The freshman and sophomore level requirements for each program are the same.

Pathway Notes:

While an Associate of Arts degree at Brazosport College requires 60 credit hours, the following pathway includes 64 credit hours, applicable to each of the McCombs School of Business Bachelor’s degree at UT Austin.
Math requirements in this pathway begin with MATH 2413 Calculus I , which is the first mathematics course applicable to this degree. Some students may be required to take a prerequisite course(s) prior to enrollment.
All majors at the McCombs School of Business are required to have two years of a foreign language in high school, or complete two college level courses in the same language. Brazosport College recommends SPAN 1411 Beginning Spanish I and SPAN 1412 Beginning Spanish II for students who did not take a foreign language in high school. Students majoring in International Business must also take two semesters of intermediate language.

Foundations

Foundations courses provide the footing for the remainder of the Associates Degree and beyond. They provide the knowledge and skills upon which other courses will build. Whether attending full or part time, plan to complete most if not all of Foundations prior to taking courses under Knowledge Building or Preparing for Completion.
