Computer Technology: Information Systems Technology Specialist

The Associate of Applied Science (AAS) in Computer Technology program is designed to develop student’s skills necessary to establish a career as a professional in the field of computer and information technology. According to the Bureau of Labor Statistics (BLS), employment in computer and information systems technology roles is projected to grow 13 percent from 2020 through 2030 - much faster than the average of all other occupations. In addition, the median annual wage for computer and information systems technology occupations was higher than the median annual wage for all occupations. Our AAS Degree and Certificate Programs in ISTS will introduce students to concepts including principles of computer hardware components and software, programming, databases, networking and network administration, helpdesk, web development, and desktop operating systems. Graduates of ISTS may be prepared and pursue many different careers, including Computer Systems Technology Specialist, IT Helpdesk Specialist, Computer Systems Analyst, Computer and Information Systems Manager, and Entry-Level Computer Programmer and Web Developer.
