The chemical technician’s job varies depending on the needs of the company. In the Brazosport area most chemical technicians jobs are in one or more of the following areas: (1) Analytical Services; (2) Environmental Services; (3) Technical Services and Development; (4) Production; and (5) Research.

Brazosport College offers co-op internships where you can earn income while gaining valuable experience. BC has excellent relationships with area employers which helps open doors of opportunity to graduate.

Associate of Applied Science: 60 Credit Hours

Foundations

Foundations courses provide the footing for the remainder of the Associates Degree and beyond. They provide the knowledge and skills upon which the other courses will build. Whether attending full or part time, plan to complete most if not of Foundations prior to taking courses under Knowledge Building or Preparing for Completion.

1. Internship/Apprenticeship/Employment positions are not provided by Brazosport College. Physical Sciences and Process Technologies Division can assist students in searching for local opportunities. Student must obtain their own internship/apprenticeship/employment which includes a minimum of 17 hours per week applicable to laboratory science. Students may register in only one internship class per semester.
