Environmental Science Transfer Plan: University of Houston Clear Lake

The pathway below is designed to facilitate transfer to the University of Houston Clear Lake for students planning to complete a Bachelor’s of Science in Environmental Science.
- Work with your ACE it coach or a counselor/advisor early in your pathway to customize this plan.
- Consult a transfer advisor at UHCL.
- Visit the UHCL Catalog to ensure transfer requirements are met.
Pathway Notes:
- While an Associate of Science degree at Brazosport College requires 60 credit hours, the following pathway includes 65 credit hours, applicate to the Bachelor of Science degree in Environmental Science at UHCL.
- This pathway requires MATH 2413 Calculus I which is the first mathematics course applicable to this degree. Some students may be required to take prerequisites courses prior to enrollment.

Foundations
Foundations courses provide the footing for the remainder of the Associates Degree and beyond. They provide the knowledge and skills upon which other courses will build. Whether attending full or part time, plan to complete most if not all of Foundations prior to taking courses under Knowledge Building or Preparing for Completion.
Knowledge Building
Knowledge Building courses expand upon foundational learning and develop skills at a deeper level. It is recommended that students complete these courses prior to moving forward to Preparing for Completion.
Preparing For Completion
These courses provide capstone knowledge and skills, which prepares students for their next steps. Before beginning the third set of courses in this pathway, complete the Application for Graduation at the Admission’s Office. You should also meet with your coach/advisor to begin preparing applications for transfer.
Note on Specialization
The Environmental Science degree at the University of Houston Clear Lake has multiple specialties. The transfer plan above is designed for the Environmental Biology Specialty. Students planning to persue other specialties should make the following modifications:
