Industrial and Commercial Electricity

Electricians are needed to support the fast paced construction taking place in our community and along the Texas Gulf Coast. Electricians install wiring systems, rewire or upgrade existing electrical systems. Maintenance electricians repair and install new electrical equipment such as circuit breakers, fuses, switches and electrical components. Electricians work at construction sites, in homes and in businesses or factories, schools and government buildings.
Brazosport College’s classes offer specialized training and individual attention. Plus you will gain hands-on experience in the classroom and in co-op courses working with local businesses. Added benefits are great job prospects and pay.
Electricians generally specialize in construction or maintenance work, although a growing number do both. Graduates typically work as electrical apprentices under the supervision of a master electrician. Many job openings are expected over the next decade as a large numbers of electricians are expected to retire. This will create good job opportunities for the most qualified jobseekers, especially in growing areas of Texas.
