Basic preparation for a new peace officer. Covers laws pertaining to controlled substances, crowd management, personal property, and crime scene investigation. Should be taken in conjunction with Basic Peace Officer I, II, IV and V to satisfy the Texas Commission on Law Enforcement (TCLEOSE) approved Basic Peace Officer Training Academy. Credit Hours: 5 (3 lecture, 7 lab)
