This course examines the role and activities of strategic sourcing and operational purchasing. It addresses purchasing operations and structures, strategic sourcing processes and the critical supply chain elements of managing supply chain inventory, information systems, and supplier performance. It will cover inventory control, purchase orders, the importance of documentation, plus purchasing procedures. Credit Hours: 3 (3 lecture, 0 lab)
