ARTS 2341 - Art Metals CIP 5007135126 This introductory course encourages students to examine metal as a creative medium using basic techniques in jewelry and metal construction. Basic metalworking techniques include filing, sawing and piercing, soldering, and forming will be explored. The design process will include developmental drawings, the use of technical vocabulary, and modeling. Effective too and equipment use, as well as studio safety, will be emphasized throughout the course. Credit Hours: 3 (1 lecture, 5 lab)
