TMGT 4395 - Principles of Marketing Management

Marketing is the management process that identifies, anticipates and satisfies customer needs and wants profitably. Marketing is essential to the survival of every business organization. Students will learn the role of marketing within society and within an economic system and will learn key marketing principles, terminology, tools, and methods used by marketing managers for decision-making. This course is designed to be an introduction to the broad concept of marketing mix for the future manager. Students will progress through the topics of generic functions of business; the environment of business; market planning, information, and segmentation; consumer behavior; marketing ethics; and marketing strategy. Credit Hours: 3 (3 lecture, 0 lab)
Prerequisite: Senior standing.
Required skill level: College-level reading, writing and math.
